Terms & Conditions – 11 Plus Lifeline
Terms and Conditions for 11 Plus Lifeline, a service provided by RSL Educational (Robert Lomax) (‘we’) to monthly subscribers signing up through the RSL Educational Website (‘you’)
Our general terms and conditions and privacy policy are at this link. The following information relates exclusively to 11 Plus Lifeline.
Last updated 30/04/2026
We will always treat our customers with respect and aim to provide the best possible service. This document clarifies your obligations and ours if you sign up for 11 Plus Lifeline.
The educational material provided through this service is only for the use of you and your own children; or if you are a teacher, it should be used by no more than one of your students. Other students may take out their own individual subscriptions. The material must not be copied or distributed in any way, electronically or physically. You may not authorise others to view or access the service using your account. Special licences for tutors are available, allowing work with multiple students.
Your first billing month starts at the time of signup and runs until the same day and time the following month. You are charged at the beginning of each billing month. Subsequent billing months run on the same cycle. (If your signup day, e.g. the 31st, does not exist in some months, you will be billed at the appropriate time on the final day of those months.)
You can request a cancellation at any point. Your membership will be set to cancel at the end of your current billing month and you will not be charged again. Once you have paid for a month, it is not refundable, unless it is your first month as a member.
If you cancel within your first billing month, you are entitled to a full refund. Refunds are not automatic and must be actively requested. However, subscribers cannot receive a refund once they have sent a piece of work for feedback under their plan or if they have redeemed claimable benefits, such as books or MCQ English courses bundled with their subscription.
Once your subscription has already paid for all resources available through 11 Plus Lifeline (whether or not you have yet claimed them), your billing will automatically be ended. If you would like to continue beyond this point on a marking-only basis, please get in touch.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that practice papers remain available in customer portals after cancellation, but we make no guarantee: it is the responsibility of members to ensure ongoing access by downloading papers in a timely manner when these are first made available.
We may decide to stop any membership at any time, without needing to give a reason. We may also withdraw customer portal access without warning.
These things may occur at our discretion. An example is if we have reason to suspect that the customer has broken these terms and conditions – for instance by sharing resources beyond their immediate family.
Platinum and Super Platinum subscribers cannot send work for marking after their subscription has been cancelled, even if they have unused marking allowance.
Book and course credits remain redeemable until you cancel your subscription. Once you have redeemed them, the books/courses remain yours forever. In the case of courses, “forever” should be understood as the full time until that course is no longer available on the RSL Educational website, and it should be understood that our obligation is limited to taking reasonable steps to maintain the availability of resources.
Books benefit from free postage within the UK. For overseas members, postage is payable.
Platinum subscribers: A 1-hour 11 Plus consultation/work assessment lapses if it is not used within 2 months of first becoming available to the subscriber. You can roll over one unused consultation into the next month and claim a 2-hour consultation, but you can’t roll these 2 hours over into the next month and claim 3 hours. You would still only be able to claim 2 hours.
Super Platinum subscribers: A 2-hour 11 Plus consultation/work assessment lapses if it is not used within 2 months of first becoming available to the subscriber. You can roll over one unused consultation into the next month and claim a 4-hour consultation, but you can’t roll these 4 hours over into the next month and claim 6 hours. You would still only be able to claim 4 hours. Book credits can accumulate up to a maximum of 18 book purchases (the number of RSL book titles).
